Yes, we do braces too!
In addition to the training received in dental school, Dr. Hawley completed post-graduate courses in Orthodontics. The American Orthodontic Society endorses these courses taught by Dr. Robert Gerety, who has been teaching non-extraction straight wire concepts for over 30 years. Dr. Hawley has also been an active member in the American Orthodontic Society since 2003.
Did you know...
The average orthodontic case is approximately 18-24 months and the average age of an orthodontic patient is 11-12 years old. In the past, a headgear was the main treatment for problems like buckteeth and excessive crowding. Headgear, which is bulky and uncomfortable to wear, is no longer used. Today, a MDA (Multi-Distalizing-Appliance) can be used. The MDA is like a wire; it moves the teeth back to make space for the front teeth. In the past we would often have to remove teeth to create this space. Today you don't have to. Come on in and find out more about braces.
